FIT & DESIGN: The Rockaway Shorts are a classic unisex fit. The elastic waistband and hemp drawcord make these an easy throw-on while still looking elevated. Two side pockets and a corozo buttoned pocket in the back for the important bits.
MATERIALS: 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton. We used a hemp and organic cotton blend because of hemp's amazing sustainable properties. Hemp is a natural fiber that is 8x stronger than linen, and it can grow almost anywhere, cleaning the air, soil, and water wherever it's planted. It is naturally resistant to mold because of its antibacterial characteristics, and it absorbs moisture while blocking UV rays.
Cut and sewn in Brooklyn.
CARE: Hemp is machine-washable, but heat from the dryer can damage the integrity of the fibers. We recommend washing cold, inside-out (or in a wash bag), and air drying. If using a dryer, set it to delicate mode at low-temp. We pre-washed this fabric before sewing it, so shrinkage should be minimal. Tio Lee cannot accept returns or exchanges for product that has been washed or dry cleaned.

Drawstring is comfortable without being bulky, and not too long like some drawstrings that make you look like you have a tail in the front. Quality, sustainable materials obviously thoughtfully well made; and to make me feel better about my purchase it's made in the US. Recently i took the shorts on a trip to Cape Cod, got lots of compliments, plus they packed well....didnt wrinkle. Best of all it's "KIND" to all body types and genders. I can see these shorts being a staple in my closet, but I'll have to keep an eye on them to make sure nobody raids my closet for my new go-to Rockaway shorts.
